Duo Yamane
After numerous concerts together as basso continuo partners, Futo and Yuki founded the Lynx Consort in 2019 to bring music from the 17th to 19th centuries back to life in a vivid way. Since March 2020, they have been resident artists at Studio Piotita in Tokyo.
In 2022, they also began performing as Duo Yamane, a cello and fortepiano duo committed to re-examining Classical and Romantic repertoire through a deep engagement with historical performance practice. In addition to fresh interpretations of core works, they are actively involved in discovering and reviving unpublished and unrecorded pieces.
They made their international debut at the International Young Artist’s Presentation in Antwerp in 2023 and have since appeared at festivals in Brussels, Paris, Tokyo, and beyond.
Futo Yamane performs with leading period ensembles such as Bach Collegium Japan and Orchestra Libera Classica. Internationally, he has appeared as principal cellist of the Theresia Orchestra, performing at major festivals across Europe.
In recent years, he has focused on researching 19th to early 20th-century performance practices and is actively working to create new and innovative concert experiences. As a soloist, he has performed with the Geidai Philharmonia Orchestra and the Tokyo City Philharmonic Orchestra. He was awarded the 32nd Aoyama Music Award (Newcomer Prize) in 2023 and was selected for the Agency for Cultural Affairs of Japan’s Overseas Study Program for Upcoming Artists in 2022.
After graduating from Tokyo University of the Arts, he completed his master’s studies at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and subsequently pursued further studies at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel.

パリのベートーヴェン ｜ Duo Yamane
Yuki Yamane specialises in historical keyboard instruments, with a focus on harpsichord and fortepiano. Born in Saitama, Japan, she studied piano at the Music High School attached to Tokyo University of the Arts. She then continued on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in piano and a Master’s Degree in harpsichord at the same University. Later, she also served there as a teaching assistant in the Early Music Department.
Yuki moved to Europe to pursue fortepiano studies with Piet Kuijken and Boyan Vodenitcharov at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel, where she earned a second Master’s Degree.
She was awarded 3rd Prize (no 1st Prize was awarded) in the Keyboard Section of the 35th Yamanashi International Early Music Competition. In addition to her solo activities, she performs continuo regularly on both harpsichord and organ, collaborating with various choirs and ensembles.

Duo Yamane
2019年、通奏低音奏者としての多くの共演を経て、Lynx Consortを結成。以来、17世紀から19世紀にかけての音楽を、時代の息遣いとともに生き生きと蘇らせる独自の演奏活動を展開している。2020年3月より、スタジオ・ピオティータのレジデンス・アーティストを務める。
Duo Yamaneとしては、2022年より本格的な活動を開始。チェロとフォルテピアノによるこのデュオは、歴史的演奏習慣をより深く理解し、古典派・ロマン派作品の魅力を現代に新たに問い直すことを目指している。主要レパートリーの再解釈にとどまらず、未出版・未録音作品の発掘にも積極的に取り組んでいる。
ベルギー・アントワープでのInternational Young Artist’s Presentationを皮切りに、ブリュッセル、パリ、東京など各地の音楽祭に出演を重ねている。
山根 風仁 Futo Yamane
高知県出身。国内では、バッハ・コレギウム・ジャパン、オーケストラ・リベラ・クラシカ等、日本を代表するアンサンブルの奏者として活動。海外ではテレジア管弦楽団（イタリア）の首席チェロ奏者としてヨーロッパ各地の音楽祭に出演。近年は19世紀〜20世紀初頭の演奏習慣の研究に力を入れ、新しいコンサートシーンの開拓に取り組んでいる。ソリストとしては、藝大フィルハーモニア管弦楽団、東京シティ・フィルハーモニック管弦楽団などと共演。
2023年第32回青山音楽賞《新人賞》受賞。令和4年度文化庁新進芸術家海外研修生。東京藝術大学を卒業後、英国王立スコットランド音楽院を修了。その後、ブリュッセル王立音楽院に学ぶ。
山根 友紀 Yuki Yamane
埼玉県出身。チェンバロとフォルテピアノを中心とする歴史的鍵盤楽器を専門とする。東京藝術大学音楽学部附属音楽高等学校を経て、同大学音楽学部ピアノ専攻を卒業。同大学大学院音楽研究科にてチェンバロを専攻し、修士課程を修了。在学中は古楽科のティーチング・アシスタントを務めた。その後、ベルギー・ブリュッセル王立音楽院にてピート・クイケン、ボヤン・ヴォデニチャロフの各氏にフォルテピアノを師事し、同校にて2つ目の学士号および修士号を取得。第35回国際古楽コンクール《山梨》鍵盤楽器部門にて第3位（1位なし）を受賞。ソロのほか、チェンバロやオルガンによる通奏低音奏者として、数多くの合唱団やアンサンブルとの共演を重ねている。
